School Residential Trips and Team Building Activities for Children

Most children remember their school adventure residential for the rest of their lives. A variety of adventure activities from climbing to canoeing and archery to bushcraft; led by the enthusiastic, highly trained A+ team combined with the excitement of being away with friends or making new ones, all help make this a trip they will never forget.

Our programmes are tailored to match the age and requirements of your students and your goals for the week.

We are often asked to design an itinerary with a mixture of adventure activities and team building challenges. A combination of both helps build self confidence and encourage relationships within the group. They also offer a great insight for teachers into pupil strengths and characteristics that may not be discovered within the school environment.

It isn’t only the activities which will challenge the young people and create memories. The experience of staying away from home for two or three nights is a real adventure for many learning to live alongside others, eat food that wasn’t cooked by mum, and sleep in a strange bed.

The key to our residentials is the relationships our instructors build with the young people. Schools come back to A+ year after year because they see children genuinely encouraged by the friendly and fun nature of our instructor team who make the effort to get to know the young people and make every effort to ensure they have the time of their lives.

Our Christian ethos challenges and inspires us to provide a supportive, attentive atmosphere and the evening thoughts our team are pleased to offer, are also a highlight, bringing a Christian perspective on life in a relevant and entertaining way.

AdventurePlus is based in Clanfield, West Oxfordshire, and we can host up to 60 children in our new cosy timber yurts. Many of the amazing outdoor activities we offer are undertaken on the 80 acre site here in Clanfield across the open fields and ancient woodlands! We can also work from a number of Associate Centres across the country, offering a variety of locations to suit your needs. We are also happy to come to a venue of your choice, whether in your school or at an alternative centre.
