Conservation Skills Training

There are lots of great opportunities for you to get involved with at Adventure Plus. As we create new habitats for wildlife we will need your help to carry out practical work, but we will give you all the training you need.

We will be adding ponds, lakes and scrapes, colourful wildflower meadows and a new orchard so there will be plenty to do. Wildlife monitoring to see what new species appear will also be crucial as we see Adventure Base develop over the coming years.

Helping out with our conservation work will give you the chance to:

  • Increase your knowledge of the natural world
  • Improve your wildlife identification skills
  • Work as part of a team
  • Learn how to use tools safely
  • Learn conservation/rural skills techniques e.g. tree planting, coppicing.
  • Find out about the wider work of A Rocha UK with further opportunities for volunteering worldwide.
