Adventure Plus run ongoing training courses for our staff and GAP team to ensure that we provide the highest levels of safety and instruction for the young people we work with. Whether internal or external, we often have additional spaces available to offer to members of the public who wish to upskill in Adventure Education.

Safety and Rescue Course

This course, designed for paddlers irrespective of their chosen craft, introduces and explores simple strategies and safe skills to provide paddlers with the tools to solve common paddling issues in a sheltered water environment.  You can enrol on this course for £175.

Paddlesport Instructor

Enrol in this BCU-recognised course for £225. Acquire the necessary skills to run paddlesport sessions within the safety management of clubs, centres or other organisations, in very sheltered water environments. Please note that BCU registration is not included in this course.

Safe Belay Instruction

We offer Safe Belay training and assessment for volunteers who wish to assist with Adventure Plus climbing wall sessions. The course fee is only £25.

Wall Leader Assessment

This course enables volunteers to set up and run an Adventure Plus climbing wall session. Please note that ‘Safe Belay’ experience is a prerequisite for this training and assessment. The course fee is £50.
