Adventure Base Construction News - Update
We are very excited to be able to see the developments taking place on site! The ground has been broken and work has begun! HART construction are currently digging the services trench and foundations for the timber lodges and yurts.
The foundations for the timber lodges and have marked out and the bases dug for the yurts. They have also dug the service trench that will provide the adventure base with electricity, water and comms as well as crushing disused stone that was already onsite to be used as hardstanding for the bases and pathways. Following some heavy wind and rain we are pleased that they have managed to keep to their time plan.
The hardstanding has been laid for the timber lodge bases, ready for the concrete bases to be poured this week (March 2nd). These must be accurate to 5mm to make sure the timber lodges do not warp but we have full faith in HART to make this happen. It is really muddy up on site due to the huge amounts of wind and rain we have had recently but we are pleased to report Site Manager Joe is keeping the HART team's morale high! We have our fortnightly site meeting this week where we will be making final decisions on the timber lodges, yurts and services.
We have set up a GoFundMe page to raise the remainder of the money needed for this phase - please do share and donate as we continue :)
Watch this space as the buildings start to emerge from the ground!
