We have started 2019 off in style here at Adventure Plus. We got to spend a whole day together, taking time to pray, worship, and fellowship as well as
getting some updates on essential training. The day began with a time of worship followed by a devotion from our A+ Chaplin, Gerald. His message spoke
of God knowing all that we face and yet being in it all. We were encouraged to trust Him in the midst of any storms which might come our way and reminded
of the scripture in Ephesians 2:10 which speaks of the good works prepared in advance for us to do.
We loved having Andy Howells back with us to do some fire safety training with the whole team and are now all up to speed with processes and procedures. The next session gave time for us to sit in our ‘working teams’ where we had an opportunity to discuss targets we have met, challenges we overcame, encouragements in our team as well as two key thoughts for the year ahead. What followed was an amazing time of encouragement within our team. It was so good to hear all that has unfolded in and through our team over the past year. A lot to give thanks for and an underlying sense that we do none of this on our own. We have a good Father who delights in us and in what we do…and we get to share His Good News with so many. That for us is what it is all about. We are honoured to be a part of this adventure of faith.
After lunch we all donned out walking kit and took a stroll down to the Thames River where we played some team building games in the garden of The Swan at Radcot and then were treated to a warm drink and scrumptious cake.
With our Team Time falling on the 4th Thursday of the month we were able to join our faithful A+ prayer support team at their regular Prayer Meeting. We were delighted to share all the feedback from our morning session and join together to give thanks to God for all that is unfolding.
If you would like to hear some of the highlights shared and targets set then we would love you to join us at our A+ Directors’ Day on 16th March. Please get in touch if you would like more details.
