The DisTIL year runs from September to August, beginning with activity training in Fencing, Archery, Paddlesports, Biking, First Aid, and several other nationally recognised qualifications. Alongside this, you will be assisting running sessions from your first week, working with local schools and groups and progressing on to larger events and greater responsibilities as the year progresses.
As well as activity training, A+ also provides Discipleship training in weekly Spiritual Input workshops. These help you grow in your Christian life through friendly discussions, research into people from the Bible and opportunities for practical application of your skills at work, at home and through local churches.
Throughout the year, there will be opportunities to practise the skills you are developing on DisTIL trips and expeditions, as well as the chance to use your free time to further your own abilities
Accommodation is provided in one of our staff houses, where you will live in community with other A+ staff. Your heating, electricity and water are all included. You will also be provided a monthly food allowance to support yourself, and a kit allowance to purchase activity equipment.
For more information, or to apply, please contact John-Luke Casey.
A great change of scenery. It's been wonderful to take time out to focus on God and His amazing creation.
