Discipleship: putting the whole year and our reason for being here in the context of Christian service – come with a servant heart to learn from others, bring encouragement to our team and grow your own potential in the course of the year.

Our weekly Discipleship workshops help provide the grounding for the DisTIL year.

DisTIL will equip you for whatever you plan to do in the future – and to go where He is calling you, after your time with A+.

Training: a comprehensive programme of training in adventure activities and outdoor leadership. Get qualified in a number of different activities to A+ and National Governing Body levels, and work toward a Duke of Edinburgh's Gold award.

Instructor: Training in a variety of qualifications is good, but experience makes it real. You will be a key member of our instructor team – working with over 5,000 children, young people and adults during your year!

Leadership: Leadership on activity sessions is one thing. You will also be given leadership roles within the staff houses and during your ‘Admin’ days at the office, being responsible for a section of our activity kit and working for ‘The Big Cheese’ (a 2^nd year DisTIL Instructor who is responsible for the ongoing maintenance that is required through the year). You may be asked to update the DisTIL Blog or help design a programme of evening thoughts for a particular adventure week… the possibilities are endless – or at least it can sometimes feel that way…

DisTIL Plus

DisTIL Plus is the 2^nd year extension to DisTIL. Commit to joining for 2 years and you get to stay on for a 2^nd year at a greatly reduced rate, and continue to acquire higher levels of qualifications and experience in outdoor leadership. Contact John-Luke Casey for more details.
